Dr. Mannheimer is absolutely brilliant. Going to see him was the best decision we've made in a very long time. I’ve seen more than a dozen specialists over more than a dozen years for tooth-jaw pain, and only Dr Mannheimer took the time to figure out what the main problem was. His various poking and prodding showed a deep understanding of what was going on with my muscles and nerves. (He has a Ph.D. in addition to his certificate in physical therapy, and lectures at Columbia.) The examination lasted several hours most of which was about pressure applied( using fingers) to upper back, neck, jaw and head and i had to evaluate the pain. I was there for my jaw and I walked in without pain in my upper back and neck, but I left with excruciating pain in upper back and neck ( and made everything worse where I already had a pain). I barely could drive home. That extra pain I got from the examination lasted for several weeks.
