We just stayed over the weekend and the park is a great place to go camping the kids can play and have a good time the only thing that I wasn’t happy with was The shower houses and bathrooms were Disgusting I don’t think they were cleaned once the whole weekend the walls in the shower were gross the toilets were sick and they smelled really bad. I’ve been to many parks and at least the bathrooms were cleaned once a day if not twice a day
I and my boys have gone out and walked through the park, when on a field trip to see “Toad”, an affectionate name for a person who’s heart loves nature and will teach you whatever she knows. What she doesn’t know- the Jefferson County Conservation holds classes on subjects from creek stomps to edible wild plants - don’t forget the bow making or Dutch oven cook off! There is a lot available to do, see and learn that almost everyone can afford
A wonderful group of diverse parks maintained and managed by a conscientious group of people. A person can enjoy nature and family oriented activities everywhere; organized activities are usually found in Jefferson County Park. Please visit!
I like their oped door polic. You are welcome to come in visit, bring your concerns, your questions to anyone at the offices. You are always treated kindly and with respect.
I really appreciate the parks and trails around Fairfield.
I always enjoy the Jefferson County Park System! It's natural diversity as well as great educational programs make it a valuable resource in Jefferson County.
