Love this painting mainly because it is so reminiscent of my childhood days in Connecticut. I would walk miles on a dirt road like this to visit my great uncle John who was a hermit and lived by day in the woods..iThe light coming through the trees casting shadows on the old road make vivid and fond memories for me.
I haven't been to his new studio because I know Jed from his time in Indianapolis. But I love his stuff!
I worked with Jed on creating a custom piece as a gift to my mother. She's an avid gardener, and extremely proud of her work. After many years cultivating an amazing outdoor space, she and my step-father decided to downgrade and move. My mom had also encountered Jed's work at a First Friday event in Indianapolis, and sought him out every time she came to visit.
