There is no place like Ontario Place in River North. Unobstructed views w/ floor to ceiling windows, 150 sqft balconies, and a vibrant pool that makes summer here a lot of fun. The door staff are the friendliest folks and the new management is topnotch. I lived in the building for 10 yrs and owned multiple units, you cant beat the value anywhere in the neighborhood. I have lived here for three summers, and every summer the AC does not work until July. These units don’t have windows that you can put an AC unit in, so there is no way to get air. It is consistently over 80 degrees in my unit. Every single year there is an issue with the AC and they drag their feet fixing it. It is absolutely miserable in the summer and there is poor communication from management. Also, it is $2.75 just to wash one load and another $2.75 to dry a load. Terrible management company. AC hasn't been working for over a year - owners and management company can't care less. Elevators break down all the time. It took me like 2 months to get my dishwasher fixed due to poor coordination / communication with the management company Owners and renters - I'd advise you to avoid this place until new management comes in

I wish I could separate the review for the building from the review for the staff. Front desk and maintenance staff were always kind to me, helpful, and a needed amenity given the decline of river north in recent years (having a casino across the street can’t help). This building is shocking with how poorly it’s constructed. If you stand outside and look up at the balconies you’ll see random chunks of missing concrete and metal poles that seem to replace concrete support structures that maybe collapsed. DO NOT move here—especially unit 1707. This was an absolutely unacceptable and infuriating experience. The landlord was completely unresponsive and a nightmare to deal with. If anything breaks, don’t expect help—you will be left to deal with repairs on your own. We went an entire week without a working kitchen sink and refrigerator, which is beyond unreasonable, and it still took two full days just to get any kind of response.
