This place is incredibly small. Packing a family of 6 plus a photographer in a cubicle sized room is crazy. No mirror to help you look your best, after walking in on a windy day, I had asked for a mirror and she said she would help me with my hair and never did, now I have my first family pictures with my hair sticking up in an odd place. I took my daughter to JCPenney Portraits and had a great experience. Alicia was amazing with her . she made her feel comfortable right away and had her laughing the whole time. She captured beautiful pictures! Alicia also made the whole session feel easy and relaxed for me too. Great customer service and I’m so happy with how the photos turned out.
We’ve had 3 family photo shoots here at JC Penny inside the Galleria Mall and our photographer was Alicia all 3 times. Our daughter takes a while to warm up to people and being around new people can be overwhelming, Alicia was able to capture our daughters personality and playfulness the moment we met her. She is an incredible photographer with a huge gift and talent for photography and making people feel so comfortable. We will not do family photos without her. Thank you Alicia!
My appointment was mid January, a Saturday late afternoon early evening. Pros: Lots of time slot options, convenient location, good choice of backgrounds. Cons: After you make an appointment, you get barraged w/emails, texts, and phone calls after you've already confirmed. The $25 no show fee is understandable but not the 10 + follow up contact. The photographer was amazing and we had so much fun. The front desk workers seemed really rude and I felt like a nuisance just being there. :(
