I have gone to Jim for 13 years back when it was Colby Tax. Since it was bought it is just not what it used to be. This year was the cherry on top. Jared doesn't ask you any questions or tries to help you out in anyway. He charges you extra to punch in a couple numbers. He charges you extra for nothing. I got stuck with him because I trusted his predecessor who sold him the business.
I hired Jared to handle my taxes, trusting that he knew what he was doing. But he completely screwed up my filing, making serious errors that could cost me a lot of money. Like $132K. When I reached out to him to fix the mess he created, he pretended to fix the problem. He lied and said he fixed it. Upon contacting the IRS months later to ensure everything had been taken care of, I learned he hadn’t submitted anything on my behalf. I gave him every chance to correct his mistakes.
