We had a wonderful experience working with Jane for a photoshoot of our toy poodle, Puff. Puff can be a little nervous around new people and unfamiliar environments, but Jane immediately made him feel comfortable with her calm and friendly approach. Jane was amazing at engaging Puff’s attention during the shooting and guiding him into the perfect poses. The final photos turned out absolutely stunning—every shot captured Puff’s personality so well. We couldn’t be happier with the results!
I'm a photographer from the Netherlands and followed Jane on social media.I'm a fan of her work. When she offered the online course "The Art of the Dog," I immediately took it. And I don't regret it at all, the pleasant, calm voice and the clear videos were enjoyable to follow. Even though our working methods aren't that different, I still learned a lot. Thanks Jane!
I am so glad I purchased The Art of Dog Photography. I found it really valuable just to watch a photographer whose work I respect so much do her thing and narrate her thought process. I have a fair amount of experience with dogs in the studio, but there is always something to learn from a master, and Jane is generous with all her knowledge from shoot to edit. I would recommend this course to dog photographers of any level below expert - it’s great.
Jane Thomson is the best! I booked a session for my 13 year old French Bulldog and it was an incredible experience. I came into this course knowing nothing about photographing dogs- no clue about lighting, angles , or how to get dogs to even look at the camera. But now? I feel confident, inspired, and actually excited to shoot! The course broke everything down in a way that was clear, practical, and fun.
