James creates the perfect environment for a musician at any level to achieve the best musical output that they possible can. He has an excellent ear and is incredibly creative in his ideas. He is a safe pair of hands for any project.
It's been an absolute pleasure working with Jim. He took great interest in our project (Blue Horses EP by The Report, released on 29th July 2023) from the start, offered really useful creative advice around layering vocals and building a bigger sound, and did an excellent job on mixing our songs - bringing out the subtleties in the songs, and giving everything a bit of sparkle. We will definitely be throwing more mixing work his way in the future!

Jim mastered our 5 track EP of a capella spirituals. I was very impressed with the software he used to show me the difference between mastered and not mastered - it really helped to not have to flick between versions. He did a fantastic job - so much so, I feel like remastering all my material! I have no hesitation in getting him to master my next project and also will recommend to whoever needs mastering!
