My taxes were not filed correctly! My federal return never should have been submitted separately from my state return! I told the preparer I noticed there was a discrepancy in my state return and I was missing close to $800 before it was ever submitted just looking at the numbers! I wasn’t receiving the correct credit on the state return! The federal was submitted anyway! Once you efile a federal return you can no longer efile the state return! They must be filed together!
