J Danforth Mercantile is a favorite shopping spot for my extended family and myself. The staff are always so warm and friendly and go out of their way to help find the perfect gift or whatever I’m looking to purchase. Their wide variety of products makes it easy to find the perfect gift for anyone. Downtown Maryville is lucky to have a dedicated team of local citizens who pour their hearts and souls into creating the most unique, welcoming shopping experience in our area.
This is such a gem of a store! We are so lucky to have this unique store in our downtown, full of a thoughtfully procured array of constantly changing items to browse. I can always find wonderful gifts for friends and family, and some treats for myself also! Even if I walk in with no gift ideas, I can find something that sparks my imagination for a creative gift. This was my first visit, and I really enjoyed the store itself. However, I was disappointed with the clothing try-on experience. The fitting room is located in the bathroom, which made trying on clothes uncomfortable. There was only one hook available, and since I had several items to try on, I had nowhere to put the clothes I was wearing except on the bathroom sink after wiping away water. When trying on a dress, I had to stand barefoot on the bathroom floor, which was not a pleasant experience. This is not a discount store... read more
