I’m grateful to Marcela for her patient and thoughtful approach to a calf muscle injury I sustained running. The mantra throughout our sessions, “stretch and strengthen”, was the basis for a variety of useful exercises. Her approach extended beyond the muscle itself to those that act cooperatively and to exercises (and running!) apart from our sessions. I’m thankful for the results, but as well for the confidence in moving forward.
Marcela Pinto is a fantastic physical therapist, and I highly recommend her. She is knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate. When I first came to PT, the pain levels and mobility of my hip joint were limiting to my lifestyle. After several months of work and a Cortisone injection, I’m pleased to have made steady progress. My doctor recommended Ivy Berwyn when I was experiencing pain and weakness in my shoulder. Within a few weeks my mobility was almost 100% thanks to Marcele, my therapist. The exercises I did under her guidance relieved some of the pain but not all. After a few months I had a cortisone shot which she supported. Now I am pain free. The entire time Marcele was extremely knowledgeable and encouraging. She was upbeat and a pleasure to be around.
