I attended the CNA information session and unfortunately left with several concerns about the admissions process. The session was advertised as an information session, but we were not informed beforehand that we would be required to complete a basic math and reading assessment **immediately afterward**, within one hour. We were told that if we couldn't take it at that time, we would have to attend another information session. I had a verbal dispute with another classsmate. My instructor and Mr. Morton concocted a story so severe to Dwyer workforce for them to drop me all together . Knowing a week before my dismissal that they minds were made up . They insisted on me writing letters keep meeting with them . The way they spoke to me was rude and try to make me believe that I was crazy and a monster . And when I would not accept their accusations they excused me from both programs . this organization was very disappointing and negative!! they had me do clinicals pass my last exam and everything just to ask me one question and i didn’t know it off of the top of my head WHILE I WAS AT WORK they felt like i wasn’t “ready” after doing 5 months of class AND working on top of that !! VERY DISAPPOINTED . left with no cna or gna all because i didn’t have time to do skills also i had two more days to work on it after that smh a disgrace and a waste of my time.
I had an amazing experience in this CNA program and am so grateful for everyone who played a part in my success. I successfully passed my CNA class, and I truly couldn’t have done it without the support I received along the way. My instructor, Dr. Teonya, was exceptional. She was knowledgeable, patient, encouraging, and genuinely wanted every student to succeed.
