LOOKOUT is what you should do before joining this credit union. They do NOT care about customers or value members in anyway. I'm so insanely disappointed in their complete and total.lack of concern. I would never for even a second recommend this place to anyone.
The staff were excellent, but the location is awful. I wish Lookout wouldn't build in pedestrian-hostile, car-centric parts of town. Their downtown location was so much nicer and more convenient, especially to those outside of a car.
I've been with Lookout since they were still ISU Credit Union- about 13 years. During COVID I was put in a terrible spot with overdraft fees. Now that they're no longer legally obligated to protect us, they're going back to terrible practices. What kind of business celebrates taking $25 from an already negative account every time a transaction doesn't go through? I'm in a better situation now than I was during COVID, but I'm not sticking around to give them the same opportunity to turn my financial struggles into profit. The... read more
I Recently had brain surgery and was in ICU for 3 weeks. They didn't approve me for hardship after weeks of back and forth emails because they said "it would just be a bandaid". I sent them medical records, doctors notes and state documents upon their demand ,showing I was starting to get disability and proving my medical condition! Instead, they impounded my car right after I called and made a payment in good faith on a holiday! I had to pay the impound fees and 2 months back pay to get my car back.
They’re lucky there isn’t a zero stars option because that’s what they deserve, went in to take out a loan for a vehicle, I went to translate for my sister and they wouldn’t let me the lady at the front was rude and couldn’t give a legit explanation as to why I couldn’t translate, did the application online but then the communication was horrendous, they called and hung up, said they would call in 5 minutes and never did I had to reach out multiple times and the people on the phone were arrogant and unapologetic about their ... read more
