Great option for getting to Isle Royale National Park. Much quicker and more fun than a long ferry ride. I hiked the entire Greenstone Ridge trail and my outbound flight was to Rock Harbor and return flight from Windigo. Very easy to plan. I put in a request via email with my preferred flight dates and times. Isle Royale seaplanes emailed me back the next day with slightly different times but on the same days I requested. Take the Seaplane!! Just had an eventful trip to and from the island via Isle Royale Seaplanes and would highly recommend it as the best choice for reaching the island: 1. Time savings. 45 minute flight. Add up the additional time for driving and the duration of the ferry ride, and determine how valuable the extra time is on ISRO to you. 2. Flexibility. Not my first flight with them, and won't be my last. Great ride there and back. Remember that they can only fly if the weather is clear(ish) Delays happen so plan accordingly.
