Over-priced with Horrible Service! With limited pet supplies in Kona, I??ve gone there when I needed something specific, each time treated with a dry, disappointing attitude. Each time I??d cringe at the overly-exaggerated prices, bite my tongue, and make the purchase just to get out with what I needed. Sad I have been a customer of Island pet supplies for some time.I had decided to try a different cat food from her. I decided on a 27$ bag of catfood that she recommended highly which did not agree with my cat, the Before Grain. That 100% gaurantee satisfaction on the back of the bag states;" if not fully satified with this product, please return where purchased for EXCHANGE or FULL refund!" Great Little Pet Shop! This is my favorite Pet Food store. They always carry a wide variety of high quality pet food that I can't find anywhere else in this area. The staff have always been very helpful and knowledgeable about the products and are available to answer any questions I have. Mahalo!
get it while they last If you need something that only can be found at Island Pet supplies, you need to buy it now, and stock up. My prediction is that they will not be in business for long with the poor attitude of the staff.
Bad attitude I called to see if they carried a specific product but they did not. When I asked for the name of another pet suppple company in Kona that might have it, you would have thought that I asked for their first born child. I will never buy anything from them becuase they have a nasty attitude.
Tiny shop has surprising range of goods For such a tiny store tucked into the Kona Marketplace Island Pet Supplies carries a pretty good range of pet supplements, toys, and grooming supplies including the wonderful shedding tool which is indispensable but hard to find. The staff is helpful and will try to get products they don't stock for you if requested. You won't find bargains here but pet supplies aside from the basics are hard to come by in Kona.
