Sorry. Totally unreliable. The busses are very often full, so they leave you behind, with no alternative. We had to walk back. Better take the car next time.

This system made our trip so much more enjoyable. We didn't bring a vehicle with our RV, but the bus gave us access to everything in and around Acadia. Every driver (and we met about 20!) and staff member was friendly and professional. They're great about answering questions and make sure you get on the right bus. When my husband left his cell phone behind, they actually brought it to us at the station in Bar Harbor. I can't rave enough about them. We are so grateful for the unbelievable service.

I am speed walking up to the Schoodic Woods bus at 12:14, a minute before it is meant to depart. I can see the side mirror as I am approaching, literally only a few feet from the rear end of the bus. The bus still leaves, I start running and waving, again, still fully in sight of the side mirror, but they kept on driving. Stick to your timetable. People rely on that. Super friendly. People at almost every stop. Very helpful in making sure we were getting on the right bus and getting to where we wanted. They went out of their way to ask if we wanted help. I had no idea this service was a thing. But so glad we had. We took it out of Bar Harbor from Village Green meaning we never had to move our car or worry about parking the entire time at Acadia. And good thing too because there was no parking anywhere left. I'm surprised not more people utilize this free service. Lots of busses. On time.... read more
