Made our trips to Acadia amazing and easy. Bus drivers are on time and very nice and take you to the major places in Acadia, including the campgrounds.
Superb free bus service that included a shuttle from our hotel into town and a shuttle from town with bikes up to the trail Acadia National Park. We also took the paid ($9) bus to the airport, so convenient!
Sorry. Totally unreliable. The busses are very often full, so they leave you behind, with no alternative. We had to walk back. Better take the car next time.
This system made our trip so much more enjoyable. We didn't bring a vehicle with our RV, but the bus gave us access to everything in and around Acadia. Every driver (and we met about 20!) and staff member was friendly and professional. They're great about answering questions and make sure you get on the right bus. When my husband left his cell phone behind, they actually brought it to us at the station in Bar Harbor. I can't rave enough about them. We are so grateful for the unbelievable service.
I am speed walking up to the Schoodic Woods bus at 12:14, a minute before it is meant to depart. I can see the side mirror as I am approaching, literally only a few feet from the rear end of the bus. The bus still leaves, I start running and waving, again, still fully in sight of the side mirror, but they kept on driving. Stick to your timetable. People rely on that.
