I had a wonderful experience with island cars! Not only did they let me rent a car last minute, they worked with me to give me the best deal! This is the only rental agency on the island that rents to underage drivers!!
Look at the one star reviews. They are accurate. This place is a dishonest bait and switch company. They will quote you one price and charge a higher price. They rent junk cars that are unsafe. There is a reason they don't show any cars on a website. Their cars have 150k plus miles on them. They are disgusting inside and out. Their cars have check engine lights, low oil, broken traction control, low tire pressure, bald tires, no washer fluid. Cars that shake bad when braking. Starting off this review stating that my husband has been a certified auto mechanic for 40+ years. Airport pick up went smooth called them. They came and picked us up. check in was a little off the lady at the counter was not very friendly. She informed us again about the 10% discount if you paid cash when the question arose about the insurance, my credit card covered she said if anything happened, we would work it out. our car was a small little compact car which was fine. Offers pickup/dropoff from cruise port for 10$ each way for whole party, very convenient for those on cruise ships. Very fast service, picked us up as soon as we called and dropped off immediately when returning the car. Thanks!
