I believe the collaborative divorce process prays on ignorant, naive and well intentioned people pitching them a “collaborative divorce.” In fact, you end up paying many times more than you would with just a regular divorce because not only are you paying your attorney and your spouses attorney, but you now have a “neutral” involved who’s supposed to act as a mediator or mental health support, and you also pay an accountant to handle reviewing financials, which most attorneys do as part of their job.
