I have not had an appointment with this office; however, I am having an issue with IRS in general that I'd like to speak about. My son's income tax was filed in March via TurboTax. It has been accepted and received at IRS but not approved. Additionally, I have not received any communication from IRS to let us know what the issue is and what we need to provide/do to get the ball rolling towards approval and receipt of refund. I made several attempts to get an answer through online services and automated phone calls services about my recent filing status! It is very frustrating to be cut off from speaking to a human being regarding a specific question, and to be only allowed to answer prerecorded questions to get prerecorded answers.

You can walk in the office. However, unless you have an appointment, you won't be seen that day. I had been trying to reach anyone with the IRS for many months by phone but was unsuccessful. The kind lady who greeted me also informed, unless there was a cancellation, visits were booked for the next 3 months. During my visit to the office, I was provided a ph # with specific prompts to choose for appt purposes and finally spoke to a human.
