I adore Ironwood pig sanctuary. I visited there several years ago and volunteered for several days. I had so much fun. The regular staff was caring and knowledgeable. Mary and Donna always have everything under control. they love their charges. I got to dig a wallow before I left and enjoyed it immensely. Not everyone appreciates the intelligence and exuberant behavior of pigs but I know they are intelligent and fabulous. This is a wonderful and caring sanctuary , also uncommon. *****. I would give 10 if that w... read more

I wanted to give a shout out to Better Piggies Rescue and Ironwood Pig Sanctuary who were both instrumental in helping us rescue an abandoned pig in Mohave Valley, AZ. They traveled early morning the next day (4hrs one-way) to get this older pig to a safe place. I cannot begin to tell you how appreciative we are for the quick response and communication to make sure this boy is taken care of. Thank you, thank you, thank you for making sure he will live out his life well cared for. Formerly known as Mohave Pig, now known as Le... read more

Home to over 600 pigs, what a blessing these folks are to pigs that would otherwise suffer a cruel end to their lives. Wonderful folks who care for the medical needs as well as all the needs of these beautiful pigs while some wait for their forever homes. God bless all those who making a difference in the lives of these piggies!

I have never seen a more beautiful place. The land is incredible, the love is so big and the dedication to these animals is wonderful. They truly love each and every pig (nearly 600!) And know them each by name, looks, temperament, hobbies and favorite snacks. Their system is genius in routine for feeding, medicating, watering and over all caring for these pigs. I spent last weekend there and I'm still excited and moved by the empire they have built. I recommend visiting, donating and volunteering. This non profit is just aw... read more
