I am now able to differentiate between yoga the exercise, and yoga as therapy, because Irene showed me what yoga therapy is and can do. There were times I felt pampered because she recommended a cushion at my neck or blocks under my thighs. The way I understand it is that she is looking for the INTENTION or the signals in my body to light up and create a memory so I can do this therapeutic movement with practice.
