You can"t do worst! They got my business with low fees. Got less than I payed for., so they raised their fees and lowered their level of service. Now they will extort a huge fee for moving elsewhere.. THANK YOU Uncle Sam for deciding I am incapable of being in charge of my retirement savings.
Forge Trust IRA Services charge way too much for the very little service they provide: $280/year for basically doing nothing but regurgitating the information the account holder provides. I would not do business with them again but they also charge a fee to leave. Choose a different trust company.

IRA Services is competent at what they do but they are continuing increasing their fee structure. Quarterly charges have doubled in just 2 years and they charge $5 to make monthly transfers to your account. It is difficult to change trustees and they take advantage of this by continuing to charge more for basic services. Were I able to select a trust company over again, I would definitely NOT choose IRA Services.
IRA companies by and large offer no service and generally speaking charge you for the pleasure of holding your money hostage. In my experience, the best you will get is one that discloses their fees upfront. Unfortunately, this is not one of those companies. I'd compare IRA Services to Comcast cable. Without exception, every agent that I have had the misfortune to speak to in 7 years with this company lacked a good customer service attitude. This company has a poor customer service culture, most likely starting with senior leadership. The customer's investments, which often lack liquidity, limit their options to take their business elsewhere without incurring excessive fees.
