I get two mailings a day from these people, political mailings, and it is annoying. It makes me suspicious of credit unions and their motives. Are the politicians you endorse paid by you to vote in your interests? Are they in your pocket? Sure looks like it.
And here all this time I thought Credit Unions were non-profit organizations with independent and non-partisan views. So why did I get a mailer supporting Zach Nunn this week as a "Member communication by America's Credit Unions and Iowa Credit Union League on Behalf of Credit Unions in Iowa." Shame on you guys! (BTW, it didn't provide any reasons or rationale why Nunn is any better than his opponent, just a generic "...He's fighting to ensure Medicare and Social Security remain strong and reliable...."
