IC public transport is free and useless. Absolute horror actually. Photos provided… 1. Groceries (ALDI) You need 3 buses and waste 43mins to even reach the place by bus. Or you can walk 17min across highway with all your groceries. 2. Work 23mins to walk and 20mins by bus out of which you walk 13mins. And this is from the street that is full of apt complexes. And graduate students.

These people do not know how to manage public transport in a town. Not a city, a town! We don’t need free public transport, we need the one that serves its purpose! Nice marketing, but still doesn’t change the fact that public transport sucks. And the purpose is to allow people getting around town(s) 7 days a week. Obviously the people taking care of the public transport never used one. Iowa city transit is highly unreliable. Since last 2-3 months, they were pretty much on time. Now after snow and cold started, they are again back to who they truly are. They often skip the bus. Like if there are buses at 6, 6.15 and 6.30, then they miss 6.15 bus and there will be two buses, one at 6.30 and another at 6.35. Now we can not track the buses reliably.
