Chevy S-10 repair 1-3-11 I would have to agree with the above review, I have had my oil changed at Monro, and it seemed to be satisfactory. I did get my muffler replaced today at Monro and Mike who assisted me was helpful. The end result was good; he gave me alternatives for the repair and did so in a timely manner. Consistency makes a customer secure when deciding on a place to do business. I hope there are more reviews placed so that customers could feel they are treated fair.

Monro Muffler and Brake Service: These guys are scary! All manufacturers specify torque values for almost all nuts and bolts used to attach components to your car. None, perhaps, are more critical than the wheel/tire attaching torques and wheel bearing torques. My Subaru is particularly finicky about wheel bearing torques. I warned the "mechanic" that the torque setting was critical, gave him the Subaru spec, and watched him proceed to destroy the wheel bearings on both sides of the rear axle. Don't Go Here I couldn't get in to see my regular mechanic so I went here. They said I needed about $2000 worth of work done to my car (shocks struts etc). I did not have the work done b/c my car is old. I finally got a chance to see my regular mechanic, he said those repairs were unnecessary and I would be wasting my money. These guys were really young so I don't know if they didn't know what they were doing or they were trying to make money. Either way I would not frequent this place of business again.

Appointments too I have used this Monro location for oil changes and tires only so I can't speak for their other services. I always made an appointment so waiting was never a problem. The service was satisfactory and I was usually able to use a coupon to get a lower price. The turnover in managers bothered me, but if I had to get a quick oil change in town I would probably go here.
