I have been a customer with intoxalock for nearly 1 year now. I have had some unfortunate experiences with the breathalyzer being in my vehicle, including me trying to start my car one morning after drinking and it triggered a "lockout" which costs $75 for the company to 'reset' the device to its normal function. Shops charge monthly for calibrations, and also per lockout. I have had 3 lockouts besides the alcohol related one. $75 lockout fees are rediculous, you don’t even have to drink to get a lockout - it happens automatically at times and they don’t inform you of all the different ways they happen. Plus the shop charges additional for each service. I have had to pay for 2 unexpected lockouts now in the past 6 months. Also the device/equipment doesn’t allow my car to start frequently after passing breath tests, I have to wait minutes and turn the key 20 times, I let the device do a countdown and reset, and finally randomly the device will allo... read more
