We thoroughly enjoyed the performance of SHe Said. The theater is small and intimate so that there isn't a bad seat. We could see and hear everything and appreciate the performers up close. Jen Ayer's performance was personal and passionate. In addition, her lovely voice and song lyrics were meaningful and told her story well. The Naughty List was just terrible, I can't say there was a single good thing about it, unless you want to see neighbors being campy on stage for their friends. Jokes-bad, singing - bad, dancing-bad, burlesque-bad. Theater has a nice neighborhood feel to it.
Wow! This was a magnificent production of a truly epic play; terrific acting in a highly engaging setting. We had one of the “cocktail” area seats and the action was so present and imminent that it almost felt uncomfortable during the most charged scenes (as all good drama should make one feel.) I must also note that last night’s production didn’t feel like a preview at all; it was as polished as a final production would be. Bravo and kudos to the cast, director and everyone behind the scenes!
