It is closed! Colossal waste of time.
Useless. Handed me a form. When I said I'd already filed that form he said it can take over 400 days. When I said it was a couple years ago, he shrugged, call the number, all I can do is hand you the form. The office is closing in a couple weeks. Plenty of appointments available before then, if you feel like trying.
I was told on the phone with the IRS to get an appointment at a Taxpayer Assistance Center for help filing a back year of taxes. I arrived with all of my W2s and necessary documents and was told that they’re not allowed to actually ASSIST me in filing my taxes by helping me fill out the form itself, they can only submit already completed forms!
