Worst customer service ever. Colossal waste of time. What do they even do if they're just going to tell you to call the IRS yourself?
Had me waiting forever to verify my identity. Probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
I have received service from this office multiple times. The services of the IRS were cut drastically by congress for multiple years and consequently they are understaffed in all departments. By appearing in person it is much more efficient then trying to contact anyone by phone. It takes far longer then anyone likes to have problems resolved, but this office does provide a venue for it. You must come in with your records complete and your questions direct.
