I have been waiting nearly five months for my tax refund, and I still cannot get a clear answer as to why it has not been issued. There is nothing wrong with my tax return, and every indication has been that the delay is on the IRS’s end. The lack of communication and accountability is beyond frustrating. I accidentally wrote the wrong name (Jack) on the survey we did inside the office, we were just in a rush since my son was getting upset. I just wanted to say that Alex was so helpful and was the only one, after hours on the phone and two other tax appointments, who was able to figure out what was going wrong with our taxes. He was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Fast and efficient as well! Thank you!
Went in to ask a couple questions b4 filing. Was told by the security guard that I'd only be able to talk to someone after filing. He essentially said that no one in that office will speak to me until after I've made mistakes filing, potentially incurring fines n penalties. Then I could come in and have them gleefully tell me how I'm going to get hosed, while they correct any mistakes. Don't expect any assistance from this local office.
They asked for my social security number just to set up an appointment?
