On hold for over 3 hours. When you just try to get someone to talk to this is the 'service' you get.
I read all of the reviews before trying to contact the local branch of the IRS in Burlington. I'll admit, a lot of the reviews were concerning and I was hesitant to try. But after trying for 10 months to resolve an IRS debacle online, I figured what would I have to lose. An IRS agent picked up after the 2nd ring and assisted me over the phone for 49 minutes! She was most professional and courteous! I will be sure to post back here if/when I get a follow-up letter in the mail.
