I had a great experience with the Medford, OR IRS Taxpayer Assistance Center. It was taking months to resolve an issue by sending letters and documents back and forth with the IRS by mail. Attempts to resolve the issue by phone were no better. When I discovered Medford had a local office, I was able to schedule an appointment for that very week to speak with someone in person.
