I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with my experience trying to resolve an issue with the IRS. I have made countless attempts to reach someone who can actually help me, only to be bounced from one department to another, placed on hold for hours at a time, disconnected, or told that the system is not working. Terrible customer services, had to wait 30+ minutes to talk to a representative and even after that no response.
Abysmal, just like the need to even deal with taxes in person. Receiving erroneous collection letters from IRS, checking online, nothing is due. Paid all tax bills, have receipts and bank statements. Calling, they cant see my "entire account". I've called 7x in 6 months, no resolve. It took 6 days and 42 call attempts to reach the scheduler, after holding one hour and 12 minutes.
