The Durham VA community care office likes to delay care, refuse to schedule appointments, lie to veterans, and ignore you and never respond. They do not want to help you. Specifically Asjah Goldston, she is completely unprofessional, thinks its funny that you are unable to get care and is disrespectful. There is also 0 accountability by the leadership, if you're looking for care in your time of need you will not get it here.
I'm so grateful for the VA; however, if it was as organized as the Alvin C. York VA in Murfreesboro, TN. I think there would be less complaints. It would be the best VA to go too. I still prefer Durham over Moye Blvd. The womens health clinic is great here as well!!! Trying to get appointments into community care is still a challenge. And it's hard when you're transitioning from homelessness into having a home and the whole transfer to a new va clinic in your area seems quite hard to navigate.
No one in community care or primary care has any answers, been waiting since May for an appointment for a service connected disability. No urgency, no answers, patient advocates don’t even call back! Im so saddened this is the care we get.
What is the point of calling me while at work to tell me to call back, and then never picking up the phone when I call? I’ve tried multiple times during the day and always no answer.
