I stayed in 206 at The Inman for a week while my child attended an engineering camp at U of I. The room was spotless, towels were plush, bed was comfortable, kitchenette was well stocked, all so much nicer than a hotel. Location was great, walkable to so many restaurants. The only downside was street noise, which using the provided sound machine and fan in the room helped tremendously. I would definitely stay again.
My recent stay at The Inman, managed by Royse + Brinkmeyer, during the Ebert Film Festival was extremely disappointing. We stayed in Room #200, which was uncomfortably hot with no ability to regulate the temperature. The noise level throughout the night was unbearable, making it impossible to get any sleep. Unfortunately, I had a professional Zoom meeting the following morning and had to attend under those conditions.
