Why don't they disconnect the phone by saying , we can't answer your phone right now after taking all the info. Called 3 times on different times and everytime they disconnected. Why is that?? I really need to discuss few things with them.

Called the 0800 line for help, had an automated message which just hung up on me.
I have on multiple occasions asked for something to be sent to me explaining my "outstanding" tax. However, all I continue to receive is a summary of account "invoice". IRD is the only organisation that I have found that continually will not explain what they are invoicing you for. When explained over the phone the individual is condescending and just repeats the "company line". I therefore have no recourse but to pay the invoice without an explanation. Most frustrating organisation that I have ever dealt with.
I found IRD really great to deal with. Extremely efficient and helpful. They exceeded my expectations.
