I stumbled upon this gift shop during my vacation to Durham. I thought the area was beautiful considering all of the gorgeous bricks and storefronts, but don’t let the outside fool you. The owner made me extremely uncomfortable to the point I had to leave the store, I couldn’t so much as pick up a pair of glasses without her being glued to my back like a hawk. If you are a Black person you’d be better off taking your business elsewhere. Shame on you.
Wanted to shop to buy a gift for my mother only to be followed around the store by the owner. Fitting for a store name that's literally a RACIAL SLUR. I was excited to come in and shop and I was READY to buy something until I noticed that as soon as my sister and I came in and the store owner saw us, her energy changed.
