There are some really wonderful nurses and aides at this facility that I have really enjoyed getting to know. Unfortunately, this facility seems to be chronically understaffed and often does not follow through on recommendations/orders either from internal staff or external partners (Hospice). At the initial care conference when my dad was admitted for skilled/long-term care, no one from nursing even showed up to the conference. A dear friend of mine was in the facility less then 48 hrs. His oxygen levels were down, he sat in his own urine for over 8 hrs, end up with a bed sore, couldn't get the nurses and or aides to answer his call lights when he. My friend is more like a brother, was scared for his life without his vitals being checked on regular times, he called 911 to come and get him. This is place is one of the worse facilities in the city! I wouldn’t take a dog there to die. The staff was abusive , disrespectful, rude and neglectful to the residents. I saw the aide walk past rooms while residents screamed for help. My mom laid in urine for several hours into the next shift came in on the daily! The 2nd shift aids don’t exist!! Horrible place,I would never recommend this place. My mother never got tell her story, she passed from infection from a bed sore that they had to keep cutting away at. Received a call at 3am from the night rn that they don't have the staff to care for someone like her. They sent her to jewish hospital then hospice the next and she passed 4 days later.
