I would absolutely stay away from this place as an employee & customer if you’re a minority/ POC. Also be VERY careful with Denise Stearns who said George Floyd deserved to be murdered because he was a criminal. I am surprised a bank founded on white supremacy is still in business!

I have an account with my brother at Independent Bank since we own a house together and they refused to talk to me unless my brother was physically in the branch and told me to leave (he lives in another state). I literally refinanced my home so I could move the mortgage. Definitely a good bank if you want to feel like you're back in the 1950's.
The inability to set up a simple answering machine to call you back when you have questions is an honest problem and speaks very loudly about your banking centers! After trying 3 days in a row to get money into my account, through the ATM due to you guys being closed on Saturdays, I realize no one was coming back to actually put envelopes in the ATM so those of us who work during the hours you work have the ability to get our cash into our accounts!
