I am so grateful we found Independence Manor. It was time to sell my Mother in Law’s home and get her the daily help she needed. Well, we found more than help. We found new friends who have become like family for my Mom. Mom did a complete 360! She was depressed, barely walking, not active and just feeling down. Nurse Heidi, on the second floor, blatantly ignored an infection my mother had developed after a minor procedure. The area went without a dressing change from a Friday until the following Monday. My mother told Heidi that the area smelled and yet Heidi didn't even look at the area. Heidi had been instructed in person and via text messages of the necessity of bandage changes and was shown in person what to do by a P.A. from the office in which the procedure had been done. My mother moved into Independence Manor two years ago and has loved it from the moment she arrived. She was so filled with gratitude for the community that we threw a party to celebrate the anniversary of her move. It is difficult to imagine an assisted living community better run or better staffed. I can’t express in words how blessed I feel to have my Mama living at Independence Manor! My sister found Independence Manor after exploring several other similar facilities in the area. She was immediately impressed by the warmth and care the staff showed all the residents, speaking to each by name and inquiring about some special concern they might have had. Mama loves it!
