After over a decade with this credit union I’ve tried to close my account .CU1 is the worst unethical bank I’ve ever dealt with.I went in to close my account .They told me I had to pay off my credit card so I wrote a check and paid it off. They did not close my account .I locked the credit card after I paid it off .Another charge was placed on it for 25$ . I would like to compliment the entire staff in Sycamore. They make a great team who are all knowledgeable, friendly and helpful . Last week David was nice enough to confirm all my correct account information before I was paying my Federal taxes, which I was quite nervous about. On a weekly basis David, Kristen, Daisy, and Omar are assisting me in one way or another. I have to say that all of them make it end up as such a pleasurable experience. Everyone that I've worked with has been incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, especially Daisy and David.
Oh man. How to make this short… credit union 1 merged my credit union and at some point during the merge, a credit card that I had with the old credit union (that I had not used in years) somehow had a charge on it of about 70 bucks. When this credit union merged I stopped receiving statements and could no longer log into my account and I found it impossible to find someone to help and so I just stopped using the credit union.
