Today, an employee questioned whether our dog was a legitimate service dog — not simply whether the dog was allowed in the store. Unfortunately, this employee did not know how to properly approach a customer with a service animal, nor did she know the correct questions to ask. Service dogs are not only for individuals with physical disabilities, but also for those with psychological conditions. I had a very disappointing experience at this IKEA location. I came to the store to place an order, but the staff treated me with extreme rudeness. They told me they did not have time to assist me and made me feel as if I was not welcome, to the point where I felt I was about to be forced to leave the store. This experience left me feeling very upset and disrespected.
