I visited the IKEA in Arcadia after calling their service center in advance to confirm a return. I was clearly told on the phone that returns are accepted. However, when I arrived, the return was denied by the staff member sitting at the entrance. He was not polite and came across as rude in the way he handled the situation. It was disappointing because I relied on the information provided over the phone before making the trip. The experience felt inconsistent and frustrating.
I ordered something online, and it’s being shipped to the store for free since I’m an IKEA member. There are only three parking spots reserved for pickup, and obviously, they’re taken by non-IKEA customers. I was the only one in store for pickup. If I order a larger item, not having access to a reserved parking spot can be a major inconvenience. This location is cashless and doesn’t accept returns.
