I went to the IHSS office today for orientation. I had called on December 17 and was told there would be no orientation available until January 7. Reaching someone by phone was extremely difficult I called around seven times throughout the day at different hours before anyone answered. I was told I didn’t need to bring anything and that orientation starts at 9:00 a.m., though they warned that a line usually forms around 7:30 a.m. In reality, people were already lined up as early as 5:45 a.m. Thankfully, they allowed about 50... read more
