Usually great place to go, staff are good. Which is why I took some time before writing this review. Last time we went in the cashier stopped to pat a dog before packing our groceries. They had put gloves on to scan the food and then rubbed the dog all over its face. He then came back and started to scan our groceries. We did not know what to say, too shocked - just watched. On Wednesday, 19 June 2025, at approximately 5:30 PM, I politely asked for my receipt from a slim female staff member, who appears to be of Indian background. As I was unsure whether she had heard me, I repeated my request in a calm and respectful tone. To my surprise, she snapped back with “I know,” and handed me the receipt in a noticeably dismissive and unfriendly manner — without even basic courtesy. I'm writing to complain about a frustrating experience at this IGA branch, on Saturday evening May 3rd 2025. An item ( see photo), was clearly tagged on the shelf at $3.30. However, at checkout, a staff member [named Casey] insisted the price was $3.90. Upon checking he actually admitted the shelf tag was wrong but still flatly refused to honor the $3.30 price, What was particularly infuriating was their arrogant attitude when I pointed out the discrepancy, acting as if it was my problem.
