Unfortunately, the transportation experience for the school trip we took was nearly a complete failure. Buses (2 out of 3) were in major disrepair (see photos). Two of the charter buses proceeded on a roadway in NYC (FDR Drive) that is for passenger vehicles only. The entire roadway headed our direction had to be shut down by the NYPD in order for the two buses to back themselves back from where we first entered the FDR, up the ramp, and back into the city. Our high school recently used Ideal Charter for a multi-day trip to New York involving three buses. Unfortunately, the experience raised serious concerns regarding vehicle maintenance, communication, and overall trip management. On our bus, students were told not to use the restroom for bowel movements but were not informed that the restroom was effectively unusable. Ruined a Major Family Milestone – Avoid This Company. I am incredibly disappointed with this bus company. We booked a round-trip ride for a huge family milestone—our relative’s graduation. Instead of celebrating, the trip there was completely ruined.The bus was filthy, and the vents were disgusting and dusty. Worst of all, the air conditioning was completely broken. I would leave zero stars if that option was possible. Health hazard on wheels!!!! Customer service very poor when issues arise The air conditioning unit became inoperable about 20 minutes into our departure, with the weather reaching well over 80 degrees that day. It appears that this vehicle did not receive proper maintenance prior to drivers arrival as evident by the visible dirt seen on the inside front and rear ceiling filters. Revis was the driver for our family reunion charter. He was professional, courteous, and gave great advise and suggestions during our tour. His driving skills were EXCELLENT and I felt safe during our entire tour. I highly recommend using the Ideal charter bus company to anyone needing their services!!
