ted I have banked both in sarasota and manatee counties and have found that iberia bank is the best. Not only do they have great rates mortgage, savings, money market accounts, etc., they are the most personable bank I have encountered.
Century Bank Century Bank is a very friendly loca style bank. This bank typically does not feel like a big mega bank corportaion and more friendly when you bank there. The main drawback is the lack of locations nationally or even within the state. They do offer a really nice free checking option though and some other savings account options.
