My experience with Ian was unacceptable, and I believe prospective clients deserve to know what happened. I hired Ian for a serious child-support matter, paid him a substantial amount of money, and promptly provided everything he requested. What followed was a consistent pattern of extremely poor communication, delays, and a lack of follow-through. Horrible Attorney I hired Ian D. Smith in 2010 to help me resolve a dispute with a horrible neighbor. Ian was lazy, careless, and just did not care! He kept asking for more money when he did absolutely nothing to help my case. He constantly missed deadlines, couldn't remeber key facts, and failed to do the job I hired him do...WIN an easy case! He quit just prior to trial after getting paid thousands of dollars. DO NOT hire him unless you have money to burn and a case you don't want to win! Deserves a zero rating!
Ian has always been helpful, easy to work with and worked with me on payments with several cases he has handled for me over the years. I couldn't recommend him enough. He's never missed a deadline and is detail oriented. Truly a god send for us and kept my child out of the hands of a monster.
