I have had an account at Hyde Park Bank for as long as I can remember. It's only been within the past 6 years that I've been using the 57th street location. I didnt think the service could get any better than what I recieved on 53rd street, but to my surprise it is even more personal and just as proffesional. I feel like a VIP with every interaction. Be aware that they use predatory tactics on older people. The employees here upsold my aging father on low interest CDs and then automatically renewed them at much lower rates while all interest rates were climbing. Worse, once I discovered this I learned how difficult they make it to cancel. I thought we were past this in banking. Go elsewhere!!!!
Th manager at this branch (I assume he's the manager) Malik is awesome! Always helpful, always responsive, personable, and professional. I had a less than stellar experience at a different branch and was about to close my accounts. Malik called me and suggested that I visit his branch so that he could provide "exceptional" service. I would have settled for good service. He made good on his promise and I'm a happy customer. That plus the interest rates at Wintrust are better than most.
