Jim kicks ass. I needed a charger for a Nikon Camera I received in the mail. No one else in this town had what I needed, or ever will. His place is a truly a gift when you need some obscure part/device and you live in ALASKA. Call before you go in, he might not be there. If you need to replace an item, take it in with you, it will make the process much easier. It is my go-to first when I have to look for something I need, instead of going elsewhere. He has alot of accessories that I would need and find in the future!
Bought three rolls of 35mm film here. Not cheap, but not completely unreasonably priced. Two had film, and one was an empty canister in a "sealed" box. I'm sure its not the owners fault as someone probably sold it to him that way. Although, a little closer inspection would have made it clear it was an empty resealed box.
Was referred to Hi-Tech when I realized I forgot my DSL Nikon Camera battery charger. I was at the beginning of a cruise. Jim was very helpful and knowledgeable. He looked at my camera, my battery and he knew and had exactly what I needed; and, sold it to me for less than what I would have paid had I ordered it on line! Invaluable service. Thank you Jim, you saved my ability to take some really cool pics!!!
Crazy little place but they were able to help us with a camera battery we had left at home.
